During a delayed penalty, Shane O’Brien tries to recover a puck after a giveaway from Henrik Sedin but ends up scoring in his own empty net. Debatable that the play should have blown dead as possession was established, the goal was counted and the Coyotes would go on to win 5-1.
“Possession” wasn’t established according to the officials. The puck deflected off of Tikhonov. Hard to see in the replay either way.
Still: ouch. Ouch…
